WHAT: A day of in-person Leader-to-Leader connection, Leader development discussions, and more! Plus plenty of time for socializing.
WHY: The perfect opportunity to connect (or re-connect) in-person with your fellow Leaders, Leader Applicants and La Leche League.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Our schedule will include the following sessions:
Get To Know Your Fellow Leaders and Leader Applicants: An opportunity to get to know each other and our individual paths to LLL leadership. Plus, Who’s Who in the Area and on the Area Team.
The Ties that Bind Us: A session designed on reconnecting us with the purpose and mission of LLL. An opportunity for Leaders to share what inspired them to become Leaders and what motivates them to do LLL work.
LAD: The Advantages of Having Leader Applicants in Your Group
Overcoming Obstacles and Strategies for Success: An opportunity for Leaders to share obstacles and challenges they face in their work as a Leader and to exchange ideas and information to develop strategies for success, or to simply receive support from other Leaders.
What’s On Your Mind?: An open session designed to include any questions, thoughts, suggestions or ideas.

ABOUT THE VENUE: Our Leader Day will be held in the Osprey Corporate Pavilion at beautiful Lake Parker Park in Lakeland, Florida. This event is designed to be welcoming for Leaders, Leader Applicants, and their whole families, regardless of the ages and stages of their family members. There is ample safe space for little ones to play nearby during sessions as well as plenty of fun activities close by in the park for older children or family members. Our sessions will be held in the Osprey Pavilion which is a fully-shaded and screened open-air building with plenty of fans.

In the area immediately nearby (within easy eye and earshot of the pavilion), the park features: fitness/jogging path, fishing opportunities, sand volleyball court, and ample lawn and play space.
Further away but also within the park, there are soccer fields, tennis courts, pickleball courts, shuffleboard, lawn bowling, and a playground.

Lakeland features a wide variety of family friendly activities including the adjacent section of Lake Parker Park, Common Ground Park and the new and magnificent Bonnet Springs Park, including the 47,800 square foot Florida Children’s Museum. These activities are all free and open to the public with the exception of the Florida Children’s Museum, which has an entrance fee.

Our corporate pavilion is shaded, screened, well-ventilated, and features fans (but not air-conditioning). We will be in a park setting. Please dress comfortably for a park day in central Florida.
A light lunch will be provided.

Please remember that all attendees are responsible for supervising their own children. However, a variety of activities such as play with sand toys and crafts will be available. Parents are also encouraged to bring anything they may need for their family’s enjoyment and comfort.
